Halloween Spooky Dessert

This is a recipe game rather than a timed one. Each round hands you one Halloween sweet — a batch of cookies, a layered cake, a tray of party snacks — and walks it from raw ingredients to a finished plate, highlighting the next tool so you never have to guess what the kitchen wants next.

The Halloween part is mostly in the decorating stage, which is where the game spends its budget: icing colours, spider webs, sugar eyes, and enough topping variety that two players finish the same recipe with visibly different results. Nothing is scored and nothing runs out, so the interesting decision is whether to make the sweet look convincingly horrible or quietly pretty.

It is a short game by design. One recipe takes a couple of minutes, and the set is worth returning to in October rather than sitting down with for an hour.

1. Pick a recipe from the tray of Halloween sweets.
2. Follow the highlighted ingredient or tool at each step.
3. Bake, wait for the timer, then move on to decorating.
4. Choose icing, colours and toppings freely — this stage has no wrong answer.

Save the darkest icing for last. Once a dark colour goes down, the lighter toppings stop reading against it, and the sugar decorations are the part of this game that actually shows effort.
