Candy factories, chocolate work, donuts, puddings and the small shops that sell them all collect here, and what they have in common is sugar treated as a material rather than as a topping.
Several of these games are genuinely instructive about process. Hard candy depends on how far the sugar is boiled; chocolate depends on being cooled and worked before it is poured, or it sets dull; donuts depend on oil temperature. Those are real constraints and the better titles here model them rather than skipping to the decoration.
The section also holds two idle factories, where production runs without you and the decisions are about where to spend rather than what to make. They are a different kind of game and are described as such on their own pages.
