Banana Split

One dessert, done traditionally. The boat dish, the split banana, three scoops in the canonical order — vanilla, chocolate, strawberry — and then the syrups, chopped nuts, whipped cream and maraschino cherries that a proper split requires.

Because the recipe is fixed, the interest is in execution. Scoops have to sit in the trough of the banana rather than beside it, syrup runs if there is too much, and the cherries need somewhere flat to stay put. Rushing produces a visibly untidy boat.

It is a short game with no timer and no score, and it is one of the few here that teaches a real named dessert exactly as it is made. Good for a child who has eaten one and wants to know how it is put together.

Controls

Tap each element in turn to add it to the boat dish.

How to Play

  1. Split the banana and lay it in the boat dish.
  2. Add the three scoops along the length.
  3. Pour the syrups over each scoop.
  4. Finish with nuts, cream and cherries.

Tips & Tricks

Set the scoops into the trough of the banana, not on the flat of the dish. Everything you add afterwards leans on them, and a scoop placed wide slides once the syrup goes on.
