Chinese Food Chef DuDu

Three wrapped dishes, which is a narrower and better idea than a general Chinese menu. Dumplings, rice dumplings and zongzi all involve enclosing a filling, and the differences between them — dough versus rice, pleat versus fold versus leaf-wrap and tie — are the substance of the game.

Zongzi in particular is rare in a browser game. Wrapping rice in bamboo leaves and tying it is a technique with a specific order, and getting the fold wrong means the parcel leaks during steaming, which the game shows.

The framing is winning over a small monkey with your food, which is thin, but the recipes underneath are specific and the wrapping actions are properly modelled. That is more than most titles in this section offer.

Controls

Tap the highlighted ingredient or tool; fold and wrap where the recipe asks.

How to Play

  1. Choose which of the three dishes to make.
  2. Prepare the filling.
  3. Wrap it — pleating dough, folding rice or tying leaves.
  4. Steam or boil, then serve.

Tips & Tricks

Fold the zongzi leaf into a cone before adding any rice. Filling a flat leaf and folding afterwards leaks every time, and the steaming stage will not save it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the wrapping techniques different for each dish?

Yes. Pleating, folding and leaf-wrapping are all modelled separately.
